Instant messaging is more prevalent and essential than ever before. Microsoft’s consumer messaging product is Skype and in addition to voice and video calling, the product also acts as an instant messaging client for millions. And one of these millions happens to love the way a single message from Skype will light up every device they own.
Skype user Sam Dearson says he loves the way he gets an inconsistent and random choir of sounds when he gets a message. Sam says messaging can be very chaotic with how notifications are delivered, but when half a dozen alerts are caused by a single message it beings him great joy.
Even more exciting than getting messages is when a call comes in. Sam says at this point most of the devices light up and answering on one device does not stop the ringing. It would be maddening for most users, but Sam says he sought special help to manage the rage induced by Skype and now he is happier than ever.
