Microsoft CMO: Don’t do April Fools jokes, we’ve got a doozy planned

In a company wide memo, Microsoft’s chief marketing officer asked employees not to engage in April Fools jokes because they can bring the wrong kind of attention. Also, he added, the executives have been planning a pretty epic prank and they don’t want any competition this year.

For years tech companies like Google have been really showing Microsoft up when it comes to incredible April Fools jokes. This year it seems like the people in charge at Redmond are ready to take this national holiday serious for once.

No further comment was given when asked what exactly Microsoft was planning. A spokesperson just giggled and said, “you’re not going to believe a company like Microsoft could pull something like this off.”
